Boudoir Mini Sessions!
document your beauty
For those of you who don’t know, I used to run a boudoir and glamour photography business before turning my attention to families and branding. I still love the artistry of this type of photography, so once a year I offer boudoir mini sessions just before Valentine’s Day!
While I believe that boudoir photography is something that you should do for yourself, first, the timing is right if you’d like to gift any of these images.
Who: You
When: Sunday, January 12th (Blizzard backup date: January 26th)
What’s Included: Professional makeup + 30-minute boudoir photo shoot
Where: My home studio (the location of the above photos) in Maynard, MA
$250
Important: This session fee includes professional makeup application, your photo session, and professional retouching. Products may be purchased separately through an online album in the privacy of your own home. You can see a menu of products here.
Because these sessions require a certain amount of trust between subject and photographer, these sessions are by invitation only, so please keep this page to yourself!
FAQs
How long should i expect to be there?
You’ll be with us for a total of 60 minutes. That will include your professional makeup application, time to change, and your photo session.
What should I wear?
We’ll have time to photograph you in two different looks. Most people do one set of lingerie and then they opt either for a more casual look (underwear with either a dress shirt, a t-shirt, or sweater) or just the white sheet for an implied nude look.
Here are some of my favorite places to find lingerie: Forty Winks, Anthropologie, H&M
Will you edit my {name body part}
All images will be hand edited to cover skin smoothing, blemishes, and stray hairs. No extreme photo editing to warp body parts will be used. Instead, we’ll use angles and posing to accentuate your best assets while minimizing any areas you may feel self conscious about.
Will you do my hair?
Hair is not included in boudoir mini sessions, so we recommend getting a blow out the day before if you need professional styling services.
Who will be present?
I’ll be there along with my makeup artist Sharleen Clark. Sharleen will also be present during your photo shoot to touch up your makeup, keep your hair looking good, and to keep an eye out for any fine details that I might miss. (She’s also a preschool teacher, so you’re in good hands—she’s a very comforting presence!)
What about privacy?
Your photos will never be shown to anyone without your permission. It’s part of the client agreement, which you’ll receive after paying your session fee.
What if there’s a blizzard?
Ah, New England weather! Who knows what January will bring? If there’s extreme weather on January 12th, we will reschedule to January 26th for everyone’s safety. I will let you know at least 24 hours ahead of time. I do ask that you save both dates on your calendar just in case.
What kinds of products are available?
This year, I’m offering viewfinders and albums for your boudoir mini session. You’ll be able to see samples at your session and may purchase them once I send your gallery to you. Please note that no products are included in the $250 session fee.
