In-Home Family Session in Melrose | Boston Family Photographer
The moment we walked into this house, which we’ve lived in for two years, it felt like home. We had been searching in the Greater Boston area for some time and we walked into all kinds of houses—tiny, dark, and haunted seemed to be what we were destined for. But then we found this one and fell in love!
So when this family asked me to take their photos in their new home, I was so happy and excited to help them document their early days in this new and important part of their family’s story.
As a family photographer, there are few things I love more than capturing a part of a family’s history that I know will evoke so many stories and memories for years and years to come.
This home is such a beautiful one, with classic beauty and natural warmth. It’s one of those places in which you can envision all of the life that will take place between its walls. So much laughter, so many meals, Christmas mornings, and first days of school.
And so many sweet story times. These quiet moments are some of my favorites.
One of the greatest thing about in-home sessions is that it’s easy for pets to be involved. This beauty wanted to be in all of the photos and she was just such a good girl! I wish she could come to all of my photo sessions.
With in-home family sessions, I always like to start with the more formal photos and end on a more casual note.
Which also means there’s time for a snack if someone needs one.
We ended this session with everyone snuggling in bed together and it couldn’t have been a more perfect way to bring the photo shoot to a close.
